Conference

What do you want to learn at the 2019 PRNDI Conference?  Do you have a wealth of information to share?  Have you been wishing we'd focus on something specific?  Have you recently found a presenter you think we should include in our program?  Now's the time to share your thoughts with your PRNDI Board members.

You spoke…we listened!  “Go west,” you said.  So, we’re going west.

PRNDI is soliciting proposals for our 2020 Conference location, and you should know up front that we’re looking for a locale in the western part of the United States.  Do you want to host PRNDI in your city?  Here’s your chance.

Mark your calendar now to attend the 2019 annual PRNDI Conference.  We'll be in Washington DC at the Grand Hyatt located at 1000 H Street NW.

The PRNDI board and staff will be meeting in early November to begin planning the details of next year's conference, but we know you won't want to miss it.

The PRNDI 2018 conference jumped into important issues with a look at creating a safe work environment in newsrooms across the country. With the start of the #Metoo movement and several sexual harassment and bullying revelations in the media recently, panelists discussed how news managers and editors can create an emotionally-safe work environment.

Check out the schedule for the 33rd annual PRNDI conference in Philadelphia at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel City Center. Online registration is closed.  If you'd like to register, please contact Christine at cpaigediers@gmail.com for instructions.

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2017 PRNDI Conference.  The conference concluded Saturday night with the awards banquet honoring the very best in Public Radio reporting.   Al Letson of Reveal took the podium as the emcee for the evening.

The two-day PRNDI/NPR Editor Training and the two-day News Manager Training session at this year's Miami conference have now filled up.  There are no more seats available in either of those sessions.

There are still seats available in the Environmental Field Trip, Moneyball Your Reporting w ith Brian Mann, and Beyond Radio: Telling Stories Online and on Social Media with Al Tompkins.

Seating in all of our pre-conference training sessions is limited, and on a first-come, first-served basis.  All pre-conference sessions require a confirmation code before you can register.

Just added to the PRNDI Conference schedule! Environmental reporting field trip: Learn about everglades ecology and Miami sea rise. It'll be a valuable, hands-on experience for any journalist interested in reporting on climate change and how urban centers respond to changing sea levels.

This trip will introduce reporters to the environmental issues in the Everglades and also an understanding of how the city of Miami is dealing with sea level rise. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Welcome to the 32nd annual PRNDI conference. Here you can find the schedule and room assignments for each session on for Friday, June 23 - Saturday, June 24. Thursday evening, join us for a Reception with BBC World Service & American Public Media at 7 pm on the patio between the hotel and the beach.

The 2017 PRNDI Conference will be held in June of 2017 at the Newport Beachside Resort in Miami, Florida.  The PRNDI Board has begun planning the conference, and we'll post a tentative schedule soon.
