Thanks to everyone who attended the 2017 PRNDI Conference. The conference concluded Saturday night with the awards banquet honoring the very best in Public Radio reporting. Al Letson of Reveal took the podium as the emcee for the evening.
Besides the annual PRNDI Awards, the banquet honored two great editors in public radio. The organization gave its first ever "Editor of the Year" award to Phyllis Fletcher of the Northwest News Network. The award honors an editor who does great work for the public media system. Then, NPR's Northeast Bureau Chief Andrea de Leon was honored with this year's Leo C. Lee Award. That award is PRNDI's way of honoring an individual who has made a significant impact on the public media system.
Make plans to attend our conference next year in Philadelphia - with great station partner WHYY.
Thanks to this year's station partner, WLRN in Miami for all the help making this conference a great success.
