The Conference is almost here and this year we’re offering Active Shooter Training for public radio newsrooms.
Based loosely on similar table top simulations used in industrial and public service training, our presentation involves a hands on experience designed for small group participation. Included is an individualized group tear down of the decision making process and a discussion of best practices including takeaways you can use in your own newsroom.
Because each session is limited to 6 participants, advance registration is required. Register now!

Our role playing method has been developed based on feedback from the popular Active Shooter Training at PRNDI 2016 in St. Louis. The new training system is more up tempo and tightly arranged for an accurate simulation. Come ready to be challenged!
The Active Shooter simulation has been developed by OPB reporter Emily Cureton and John Stempin, NPR Newscast Senior Producer.
