Vermont Public Radio is seeking an ethusiastic news producer to join its daily news magazine V ermont Edition . Primary responsibilities are booking, researching and line-producing regional news segments for a daily one-hour news-talk magazine program; working with host and fellow producers on live and recorded show segments; field recording, editing and mixing audio; and creating website and social media content for the broadcast.
Strong writing skills are a must. Producers are facile with digital and social media and must be able to effortlessly multi-task across platforms to build a successful broadcast.
VPR is a statewide network recognized for excellence in the public radio system, and Vermont Edition is its flagship award-winning regional news program. Bachelor's degree and minimum three years of journalism experience. Broadcast journalism experience preferred. Applications accepted online only.
