Why Should You Apply? Here's What Previous Winners Say.
Scholarship recepient DaLyah Jones, assistant producer and host at KUT Austin, attended the 2018 conference in Philidelphia. Jones said she "Loved everything about the conference – the sessions, networking, visiting WHYY."
"It was great getting insight on what newsroom leaders are talking about outside of their station, as well as learning from and alongside them," added Jones. Stephen Fowler, a reporter for Georgia Public Broadcasting, recieved a PRNDI Conference scholarship in 2017.
“Part of growing as a public media journalist means getting involved and meeting other people from other stations, and this scholarship helped jump-start that," said Fowler. "Now, I not only have my own station to lean on, but producers and reporters across the country to help make my work better."
