Early in its history, the Public Radio News Directors Association conducted a survey of stations.  The results were published in the very first issue of the newsletter “Advisory: Not for Broadcast” in July, 1986.  This is what we learned then.

THE GENERAL SURVEY RESULTS

Here are the long awaited results from the Public Radio News Directors Survey that was distributed in November of last year.  A total of 81 News Directors responded to the survey and the results indicate that many veteran journalists are producing a broad range of news programming in widely diverse markets and station environments.
