Christine Paige Diers

Business Manager

Christine Paige Diers is the Business Manager for PRNDI.  She started working for PRNDI part-time in 1997, and has been full-time staff with the organization since July 1, 2018.  Known to many in the organization as "Ma PRNDI,"  Christine's work history includes serving as a Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society and working for 8 years as the Director of the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame in Sturgis, South Dakota (yes, really).  In a former life, Christine was a public radio news director in Grand Forks, North Dakota, then worked in public relations for city government and for a business incubator.

Public Radio News Directors Inc. and emcee Korva Coleman of NPR handed out 173 awards to 72 organizations at its conference in St. Louis over the weekend for work done at stations and other outlets during calendar year 2015.  The annual PRNDI Awards pit local public radio stations against one another in an effort to find the very best public radio reporting in a variety of categories from Arts Reporting to Spot News.  "This year's competition was fierce with over 1,200 entries submitted," according to George Bodarky, PRNDI President.

  We're getting ready for St. Louis - and you should, too!!  Your PRNDI board has been hard at work getting the conference schedule put together, and we're very excited about the opportunities you'll have at this year's conference.

 The Annual PRNDI Awards Contest is now open for entries for those pieces that aired in calendar year 2015.  We've made a few changes to the contest this year and thought we'd outline those changes here.

The PRNDI Board is in the early stages of planning the organization's annual conference for summer 2016.  The conference will be held at the Chase Park Plaza hotel in St. Louis, MO.  Pre-conference training days will be June 22 & 23, while the actual conference will start with an opening reception on Thursday evening, June 23rd.  The conference will culminate in the presentation of PRNDI's annual awards at a banquet on Saturday, June 25th.  

The Public Radio News Directors Inc. (PRNDI) honored  Columbia Journalism School's Godfrey Lowell Cabot Professor of Journalism John Dinges with it's Leo C. Lee Award at its annual banquet on Saturday, June 22nd.
