Extending Editorial Integrity

Editorial firewalls were a "hot topic" this morning as PRNDI began its 2013 annual conference.   In “Funders and Firewalls,” John Van Hoesen, VP for news and programming at Vermont Public Radio and Sam Fleming, who directs news and programming at WBUR-Boston, promised it’s a topic that will not go away. They collaborated on a team that created the new Code of Editorial Integrity. It’s designed as an ethical guide for public broadcasters as they seek to fund their newsrooms.
