PRNDI Board of Directors
Conference
9:20 am
Thu May 31, 2012
Black Tie Truly Optional
You are formally invited to dress formally, if you wish, at the PRNDI Awards Banquet. As the conference’s climax, the Saturday evening banquet celebrates the best of public radio journalism.
Besides honoring work done by small, large and medium newsrooms in 2011, the banquet is where we announce the winner of this year’s Leo C. Lee Award. Each year, PRNDI honors an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to public radio news. Such an occasion obviously justifies fancy dress.
Of course, black tie is optional, but, if you’re in the mood, join PRNDI Board members in dressing up for this year’s awards banquet.
Here are a couple tips. The Hyatt Regency recommends Quick Tuxedo Rental, which delivers and picks-up formal wear to your hotel room. Also, chains like Men’s Wearhouse have outlets around the nation. You can be measured at a store near your home, and pick up a rental tux at a Houston store.
